The first of 2011's BRCA national championship was held this weekend at the recently re-surfaced West London track. In the Super Touring Class it was the Schumacher of reigning champion Chris Grainger that took TQ ahead of the Associated TC6 of Olly Jefferies and the Tamiya TRF417 of Elliott Harper. The three leg finals were really interesting as all of the three top qualifiers had problems in at least one of the finals. The track had some bumps and dips which even taxed these top drivers.

The Final result was 1)Grainger 2)Harper and 3)Jefferies. Andy Moore was fourth for Hot Bodies and Associated’s Alan Bickerstaff completing the top five.

In the busy 10.5 stock class it was a new winner, taking his first ever national victory was Ayrton Anderson, the young Hot Bodies driver controlled from the front after taking TQ and took three straight A final wins to finish ahead of James Hart and Ryan Edwards, Chris Slater was next up with reigning 10.5 champion Jon Bowden fifth.

The next round is in four weeks time at the Cotswold track.
