Hello, my name is Vince and I have been invited by RCRacerMan to contribute to this blog so I thought I would begin by introducing myself and giving an overview of the sort of racing I do.

I've been into the RC hobby for a short 18 months now and have been enjoying it very much.  My adventure began with the Tamiya TT-01 and as soon as I had it built and driven it in anger around some car parks I decided to look for a club.  I was very pleased to find HRCC was literally a 5 minute walk around the corner from me.  So just as soon as I had started the hobby I started racing, after a couple of weeks I couldn't resist upgrading my car and I bought a 2nd hand TRF415 MS.

Since then I haven't looked back and have been loving my on road racing.  I did dabble in off road last year at the excellent HNMC however I found that as much as I did enjoy off road racing the 1/10 scale touring cars were my preference.

I joined this hobby with a good interest in engineering having graduated with a BEng the year before.  As such I tend to get my enjoyment from building, repairing and setting the cars up first and racing them second.  This is probably not a bad thing as I'm not a super talented driver, just your regular RC racer!

Since starting the hobby my collection of cars has grown and this year, after having driven TRF cars exclusively, I decided to try out a couple of different brands which are popular at HRCC.  Currently I race my TRF417 X but I have recently built a TOP Photon EX and will soon build an XRAY T4 to get a taste of what it's like to run these brands.

Well hopefully I've introduced myself well enough and I hope that someone out there enjoys reading my posts.  Look out for posts on races, parts, set up, kits, build tips and all sorts of things related to our wonderful hobby.  Feel free to leave me a comment below and who knows maybe I'll see you at a race sometime.
