The second round of the EZ racing indoors series was held over the 18th & 19th March in Wilrijk. Florian Joos was racing his Tamiya TRF419X in the 13.5 blinky class (Using ETS rules). It was a close battle for TQ and he was just 0.6 seconds of taking the top spot.

For the first final the car grip rolled on the third lap, however on the second final Florian chased the leader Vincent Van Gansen for 20 laps before spotting a space and passing for the win. For the third final Florian's car was faster but more aggressive and again suffered grip roll, however this time he was able to retain second pace and then chased Vincent and caught him up and tried a move on the last corner, however they touched so he waited for him to pass and take the win.

The results were:
  1. Vincent Van Gansen
  2. Florian Joos
  3. Michael Robijn

An exciting race weekend, and it was very close for Florian. Here is the set-up from his Dad and chief mechanic David along with some notes:

This is the setup we settled with. Quite fast but a bit tricky to drive. I tried to go as far as possible to get maximum corner entry, but had to settle with 0.5 toe-in in the front (did that to compensate E and D front blocks) and 0,5mm shimm under rear front block to increase anti squat.

I should perhaps have tried to put 0,5mm spacers on the front wheels to get rid of the traction roll (only happened 2 times though).
