This is the big one on the 1/12 scale calendar, where the F1 Stock Car’s battle to win the World Championship and take the coveted Gold roof just like their full-size counterparts.

Model Stockcar Club Fryslan - NSO
Location: Marrum, Netherlands
Date: 11/12 November 2017

The Cars

The F1’s are the elite of electric Stock Car racing utilising a brushless ESC / Motor Combo with an average lap of less than 3 seconds. Costs are kept to a minimum with a price cap on overall car build, and to ensure that the cars follow full-size Stock Car construction rules.

Bumpers are fitted at each end of the car and are there to be used to push other competitors wide into the corners to be able to pass them, lots of skill involved here from a gentle nudge to a big “last bender”.

Nerf rails are the side protection of the car, helping to protect the side and the wheels as it rubs against the fence and other cars, they are also used mid corner as an additional way of moving other competitors wide.

Full contact is encouraged in this form of motorsport.

Dutch Entrants

At the time of going to press there are 32 Dutch drivers booked in to race. These drivers are representing the following clubs:

MCSF, Lobith, Almere, Venray & Rosmalen.

UK Entrants

A very strong UK entry of 18 drivers is confirmed representing the following clubs:
Urmston, Rugby, Hathern & Newport.

Defending World Champion Matt Bennett #413 is not racing due to other commitments, so a new World Champion will be crowned. Likewise a new a Junior World Champion will be crowned as Dutch NSO rules do not allow the defending Junior World Champion Brandon Eccles #531 to race as a junior.

UK drivers booked in to race as follows:

Mark Craig 141
Anthony Wyper 30
Graham Eccles 530
Brandon Eccles 531
James Eccles 532
Rob Whalley 919
Peter Ashurst 146
Dylan Ashurst 55
Matt Brown 3

Ben Harding 471
Allan Inness 13
Keith Stanford 33
Jason Reed 73
Vin Brickell 35
Owen Bates 515
Stuart Clarke 150
Robert Teuke 14

Qualification will be via heats and the top 24 drivers will progress to the quarter finals with only 12 making the semi finals. The top 3 from each semi will form a 6 car World Championship final.

Good luck and safe journey to the 18 UK drivers racing at the World Finals in Marrum.
