Official pictures of the the new Tamiya aluminium rear uprights are available from Tamiya. It might seem like a strange option for anyone that runs a Tamiya that has rear toe blocks as you can set the Toe-in with those so why would you need these?
The main difference is that you can reduce arm sweep at the rear which changes the behaviour of the arms movement through the corner. Arm sweep makes the suspension bind, the larger the angle the hinge pin, the more bind you will find forces working against each other as it starts compressing.
Using these will give you more linear bind free movement. It also lets you be able to make the rear end more narrow, and allow potential longer arms etc to be mounted.
