TheRcRacer Ultimate Tamiya Gear Ratio Calculator

Tamiya Gear Calculator

Gear Ratio Calculator

Pinion Type: --
Final Drive Ratio: --
Here is something I have been working on for a long time. A Gear Ratio calculator for all Tamiya Chassis :). It's very easy to use, you can just select your chassis type (I.E TT-02). This is easily located on the box that the kit comes in or in the manual.

The gear calculator will default on the default Spur Gear that the Kit comes with (I.E for a TT-02 that is a 70t Spur gear). You can then just enter the pinion size that you want to fit, and the gear ratio will be there.

If you have mounted an aftermarket spur gear then you can just select the 'Custom' selection and enter how many teeth it has.

Gear ratios, simple rules

As a simple rule, the lower the gear ratio value, the faster the car will be, although the acceleration will be slower.
The higher the number, the faster the acceleration, but that will take  away some top speed.

Also the lower the ratio, the hotter your motor will become. Always consider this when changing your gearing.

Let's GO!

All you need to do now is to bookmark this page (I have it as a widget on my Phone), and you will never struggle to calculate your gearing again :)

It  will be updated when Tamiya release new chassis.

If you like this app, and appreciate all the hardwork, then feel free to buy me a cuppa  sometime here https://buymeacoffee.com/thercracer
