Tamiya had a live event where they streamed some new releases including the hotly anticipated TC-01 chassis.

Details are already out, little details not mentioned before are that the chassis will only work with a low profile servo, it has the M07 suspension mounts so you are able to use the alloy hop-ups on the chassis.

The Formula E “Gen2” machine with its characteristic style is now available as an electric RC car.
The low and individual form of the front and rear tires covered with a body cowl is realistically reproduced with polycarbonate.
Set of championship (official) color stickers.
The chassis uses shaft drive 4WD, TC-01 equipped with an inboard type four-wheel double wishbone suspension.
  • Length 430mm, width 188mm, height 99mm, wheelbase 257mm
  • Body from polycarbonate, halo and mirrors made from ABS
  • The TC-01 chassis is also compatible with normal 257mm wheelbase TC bodies
  • Monocoque style chassis with 4wd shaft drive and TB-05 diffs
  • Pushrod style inboard suspension, camber etc. adjustments made with spacers
  • Compatible with std size batteries

The touring car version was also shown (You can build both in the same kit). I have to admit this is the most exciting Tamiya I have seen for a very long time.
