It's getting to that time of year for a new TRF car and Tamiya have announced the TRF418.

New features

  • New chassis plate (has front slits not seen on the angle of this pic)
  • New Bulkheads (lower than orig 417)
  • New suspension geometry (C-Hubs and arms are also slightly shorter)
  • New stabilizer attachments to allow the chassis to flex more (inset arms)
  • 20t centre Pulley

The car was at the regionals last week with TRF in attendance, it got the fastest laptime at the circuit in the final's 

Here are pics of the Tamiya cars racing at that day, so under one or all of these should be the TRF418





Here is the translated marketing text from the initial Tamiya info sheet. release date at the start of December.

● All Bran New "TRF418 chassis" is towards the IFMAR World Championships to be held in 2014 
 appeared. Machine a whole new main parts all test tires and power source of latest. Main 
 course chassis part, to link the servo mount and suspension arms, stabilizer also 
 has become a new design. Motor mount and aluminum bulk or even weight balance before and after 
 consideration of such twist. It is a machine that has been developed for the victory of the race.

**DISCLAIMER** The following pic is NOT the 418 but it might give ideas on what the final car will be ** update this is a version of another testing shot at a race in Europe. If you look at the car it has different C-Hubs and suspension arms, along with a new motor mount (like the Yokomo BD7)
