Just a quick update
A little (ish) box has arrived with two stars on the cardboard box with a very nice kit inside.. more very soon :)
I'm working on a 'How to paint an F1 shell' Article. Some nice tricks and tips in there.
Also expect a 'How to make an f102 competitive'
and a retrospective of a very important classic off road buggy.

Cant wait for both of these seeing as Im a proud F102 runner and have a new shell to paint for it!

cool, Well I'm slowly working on them at the moment. What shell are you painting?
ReplyDeleteThe F102 is a nice chassis, It doesnt need much to get up to speed. Plus it has the advantage of being able to fit lipo batteries easily compared to the F103
I've got an after market shell that I want to do in the Marlboro Mclaren red/white colours.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the F102 is a great little runner - currently second in the Carpet Masters behind one of the 3Racing chassis. On indoor tracks it seems to have the edge over the new F104 due to the weight distribution and wider tyres.
I've upgraded the motor mount, kingpins, front springs (harder), rear shock (retro pink alloy Tamiya oil damper), speed tuned gear set (93t spur) and Trakpower LiPo coupled with the Tamiya Formula Tuned Motor. There are some pictures over at www.rcandy.co.uk and some onboard clips at www.dudleyradiocarclub.co.uk/videos
Whats your F102 like?!?!
