A quick project that I have done is to restore a very knackered Tamiya Mad Bull

The car was cheap, £23 Inc post and as can be seen it needed a lot of love.

I stripped down the chassis and cleaned it up.

It's intended to be a real fun basher for my kiddies (and me)so the only modifications I made were to add bearings and a steel pinion (The original is alloy and over the many years of its life it has worn down).

With the running gear in order I stripped down the shell and then set about repairing the missing body post. I took an off-cut from a tamiya rc spru and then melted it to the shell. It's best to melt it as it bonds with the plastic.

I wanted a livery that would match the yellow wheels and red friction dampers. So I opted for a Red Bull desert racer style. It looks loverly and I think it really makes the car look great.

Here are some pics, my daughter loves it.. And I can't wait to see it racing on the beach :)

If anyone knows how to sort out the massive slop on the steering let me know
