Well reassembled the car after cleaning it up. I managed to sort out the shaft as I cut down a 5mm screw with my dremel.
Was a short lived result as I realised the end points should have a plastic cap to make it 7mm at each end so it fits snugly in the gearbox.
However I managed to find some plastic tube and cut it down.
So here is the assembled chassis
So now I need to get the following:
2 shocks (came with 2)
4 wheels
Bodyshell
Motor
Servo
Esc
Battery
Controller
Battery Charger
Cash available: £25 -£3.45 = £21.55
Gotta hunt for some bargains.. Or hope to strike it lucky at the car boot.
