Got a trusty 27meg set-up for ££6.98 of eBay

The servo looks quite sorry for itself but i plugged it in and it all works... Although the exposed wires by the plug will need covering!

I'm going to use the dodgy old silvercan that came with the car. I will clean it up with some wire wool and use the wonder-lube ZX-1 on it to give it some life.

Also got some lightly used mounted foams for £1.99 and free postage but they haven't arrived yet. I got those as I intend to run the car at my local club as a bar for the speed.

There are plenty of wheels without tyres on eBay for £1.99-£2.99 inc postage so basically it's a choice thing. I have a spare set of wheels here which I will use with the rubber wheels I got of the Toy RC car. ( BTW it's not cheating as most will just use rubber tyres I just wanted the bargain foams as they run these at my club)

£13.27 - £6.98 leaves me with £6.29 and take £1.99 for the wheels and I have £4.30 left!

That's a full 'hobby grade' rc car ready to run for £20.70!!!

Now the question is... Is it any good?

I'm racing tonight but might just be able to get it together to test at the track.... Best charge that battery!
