One area of RC that is still very important to most people is the scale appearance and look of cars. We have all been there as kiddies looking at the shelves of Beaties gazing at the Tamiya boxes with their airbrushed pictures of Beach buggies, popular Rally cars etc.
The mid to late 90's seemed to herald a change, aerodynamic buggy shells and touring shells soon started to come through, and when racing you need everything possible to keep you battling for a win.. so I had to concede and go for jelly moulds.
However, for bashing there is nothing better than having a miniature favourite replica car racing around the street or launching in the air.
There has been a shift, Short course is popular due to its scale looks and fantastic strength, and the world of rock crawling has led to a renaissance of scale 4X4 trailing, where fantastic replicas drive around mud paths.
This got me thinking about a project, so after having my cheap TA01 chassis (racing for £25 threads), I decided to make it a scale off roader.
here is a pic.. more to come soon
