Marc Rheinard has claimed his first victory on carpet for some time (nearly 5 years) in a superb display of RC racing skills.
Marc had been on form and made a few changes in practice such as switching from his Protoform Dodge Dart shell to the LTC-R and then made great progress and qualified in pole position on the grid. He followed this great driving in the finals with two fantastic races.
The TRF419 was locked on to the track and the driving skills of Tamiya's most successful driver were on form as the car sailed to victory whilst Ronald Volker chased from behind but never looked like he could challenge the leading TRF.
This ETS was the first where Marc did not have his ex-team mate Viktor Wilck (Now racing for Serpent), but he had Takayuki Kono and Jang to help with his car.
The chassis was running a prototype aluminium chassis, the rest is standard kit.
The last time Marc won on carpet (2010) was the same year he won the ETS so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the series progresses.
