As you may have noticed I have a soft spot for the more odd RC cars out there. Tamiya have announced one today that presses the right buttons.
The Tamiya heavy dump truck shown above as a prototype image is based on the GF-01 chassis and has a solid ABS shell mounted on the top. The Dumper is separate so you can potentially add some 'RC Dump' action to the model if you are into that sort of thing.

The GF-01 chassis has only had one model released so far, and owners of the car have heaped a lot of praise onto it for being a near indestructible 4WD stunt chassis. Whether this will be a model that will help make the chassis more popular other than in Tamiya's native Japan is interesting, but it has tickled my interest.
