17.5 with a competitive field of drivers looks to be a close run class this year, Qualy was a close run affair with Colin Jackson just edging ahead of Ricky Copsey & Billy Fletcher to line up on Pole position, Colin Jackson just having enough to keep Billy behind in the 1st leg after he made his was past Copsey into 2nd place, then a charging Ricky in leg 2 after dropping down to 5th mid race made his way back to 2nd.

13.5 Open had a small number of entries but none the less some quick drivers. Current BRCA National Stock Champion Zak Finlay was on fine form ahead of multiple Class National A driver Ashley Wiffen & the formidable Tim Hancock. Zak being fastest in all 4 rounds to take FTQ for the finals ahead of Ashley & Jon Seals, Finals Zak held his position from lights to flag in both legs ahead of Ashley with the only real change in Leg 2 where Tim was able to move up into 3rd overall

In between the finals came the raffle & a trophy presentation on behalf of the BRCA to present the trophies for the BRCA Clubmans 17.5 U13 category as they didn’t all make it to Halifax. 1st place going to the talented Adam Southgate (12) also making the A final at the last round 2nd went to young Frazier Tucker (7) & 3rd to Ethan Southall (9)
The Raffle was then presided over by the sultry tones of Kris Kennedy joining us this season as the PA & the ever present Snippy ready to relieve any wallet of funds for this years chosen charity the Herts Air Ambulance.
At the end of a fun packed day all that is left is to thank everyone who attended & the unsung team that put it all together, we appreciate you coming and look forward to seeing you all for Round 2 Finally a big thanks to all our sponsors who without we couldn’t put this together.
