RugRacers 2017-2018 Round 1

At the 1^st round of the series Zak Finlay got himself off to an excellent start taking FTQ in the highly competitive 13.5 Blinky Category, Both legs of the final would also go to the XRAY pole sitter leading from lights to flag with a totally dominant display, Jimmy Maddison of Awesomatix made up some ground from 4^th on the Grid to take 2nd overall with Tony Broad and his Xray rounding out the top 3 after slipping down from 2^nd on the Grid.

3rd, Tony Broad. 1st, Zak Finlay. 2nd Jimmy Maddison

Paul Pinkney & his Schumacher in Modified took the win from Harley Eldridge & her Yokomo, but it was Harley who locked down the Pole position with FTQ, a mistake in Leg 1 moving her down to 3^rd and Paul able to capitalise, Aaron Rose taking 3^rd for Schumacher to complete the podium.

3rd, Aaron Rose. 1st, Paul Pinkney. 2nd, Harley Eldridge

GT12 young Owen Smith and his Mardave took the win in both legs from 2^nd on the grid with Chris Wilkinson and his Mardave having to settle for 2^nd behind the young man, Nick Upton with the Zen taking 3^rd overall up from 7^th on the Grid.

Tamiya Trucks the new fun class this year saw much humour and many laughs in the 24 car finals, a great spectacle for those watching but not likely to be repeated at future rounds as a more traditional format is likely to be adopted great fun though and as shown the best or luckiest make it to the top with Andrew Carter surviving to be the 1^st to cross the line.
