A parcel arrived from fibre-lyte containing a range of new parts including the first prototype of the TRF415 2019 edition which I designed a few weeks ago. It is a big deal for me as whilst I have made a lot of parts before, making a full lower deck is a costly experience, especially as there are usually a few iterations needed to refine the chassis.

I'm really impressed with the quality of the deck. The chassis will allow TRF415 racers to use some of the later parts to ensure that they can now use available parts such as the later bumper mounts. of course I also worked on making it more refined utilising more contemporary chassis technology. Symmetrical cut-outs, split block support and also it allows floating servo mounts.

The chassis is also more narrow thanks to the floating servo support. That will make it cheaper as there is less carbon. I'm really excited about building it up and taking it for a test run. More updates soon :)
