The Tamiya TRF419XR is a superb chassis, and so was the Tamiya TA05... Whilst it was not the first mid motored chassis, it was the one that created the pulley to the centre, motor to the rear configuration that seems to be adopted by the current wave of conversions.  (Let’s be honest, they are mid pulley cars, not mid motored). I have great memories giant killing with the TA05 at my local club, it was always able to make the A finals thanks to the corner speed it possessed.

Still one of my favourite chassis.
Now that other manufacturers are making their homage to the innovative TA05 club chassis via conversion kits. So I thought it might be a good idea for us Tamiya racers to have one of our own. More info soon.
