54849 Tamiya Aluminum Wing Washers Review

Us Tamiya racers know that the shiny blue that emits from our chassis is the best looking anodising amongst the rainbow of colours in the pit area. We know that blue is best, so we have no problems adding more to our cars.

One little hop-up is the Tamiya Aluminium wing washers. For those that are unaware of what they are, then these are used to ensure that the rear wing is firmly seated on the body and are much better than just a single screw which can warp the wing and also has more chance of the wing lifting at speed.


The package contains two lightweight washers and two titanium screws.

Here you can see the wing washers that come with the Bittydesign M410. They weigh in at 0.85g

Here are the Tamiya washers with the included screws at only 0.63g. The combined saving is 0.44g its not a lot but at least it is lighter.

It is not the weight that is the only benefit, just take a look at them! There is no doubt that they look better than a standard wing washer, and as us Tamiya racers know, we are proud to show our colours to show we are not following the crowd.
