I found out the sad news that Nick Adams had passed away.

For anyone in the UK race scene he is a legend in his field. Clever and kind, he was always ready to help anyone. For me he was the master in finding that final few % of speed, I would never doubt any advice that he game me, and over the years I have asked for quite a lot.

I won my first ever major trophy with my Tamiya Boomerang powered by a Demon Racing motor. They were the motors to have and I spent all summer trying to get the cash together to buy one. The boost of speed pushed my boomer past the CATs and PB mustangs to take the win.  I had many of those motors over the years and even my current race motor has been tweaked by Nick.

Rest in Peace Nick, you will be missed by all of us in the Racing community. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

  1. OMG, sad day indeed. I found Nick Adams on YouTube and have been a subscriber since then. :(
