Tamiya Winter 2023 Hop-up list.

With the announcement of the new TA08R.. there are also some other great options and hop-ups coming for the Tamiya Club racer.. Importantly the parts that are needed to convert the TA08 Pro to a TA08R are available separately.. but there are some other great parts for the Tamiya Racer. No photos yet, but I will update the article when available. 

22080 RC LO-MOUNT ALUMINUM RETAINERS for LG Diameter springs

Use these Lo-Mount Aluminum Retainers for Large-Diameter Springs to position large-diameter springs lower on your favorite Tamiya on-road racing chassis.

NOTE: Large-diameter springs are often used with Super Short Big Bore dampers.

• Lo-Mount Aluminum Retainers for Large-Diameter Springs x4.
• 5.5x0.5mm aluminum spacers x4
• Use to lower damper spring position, ensuring smoother spring motion and nimble handling.
• Making the sections between damper ends and cylinders thinner enables the efficient use of damper stroke.
• Compatible with cars featuring large-diameter springs.
• The use of some suspension arms and damper angles may obstruct suspension arm movement; if so, shave down any parts which encounter the dampers.

22078 Aluminum Diff Holders (0.8 Offset, 2 Pcs.)
22079 Aluminum Diff Holders (0.8 Offset, 2 Pcs.)

These are differential diff holders made from aluminum. They are used to secure the gear differential while also allowing you to adjust the belt tension on your car. They are designed to replace the standard plastic holders used on the Tamiya TA-08, TRF420 and TRF420X chassis platforms.

• Aluminum Differential Holders x2
• Rigid, aluminum components securely hold the notch which adjusts belt tension, limit deformation under load and ensure smooth rotation.
• These components improve the rigidity of connecting sections with bulkheads and properly transmit oil damper motion to the chassis.
• Item 22079 Aluminum Differential Holders (0.5mm Offset, 2pcs.) can also be used depending on surface conditions. Raising the differential stabilizes the car on high-grip surfaces. (Refer to table below.)
• Features laser engraving to distinguish it clearly from Item 22079.

Setting Recommendations:

• High Grip-Attach Item 22078 to top.
• Medium/High Grip-Attach Item 22079 to top.
• Low/Medium Grip-Attach Item 22079 to bottom.
• Low Grip-Attach Item 22078 to bottom.

22081 RC TA08R ALUMINIUM MOTOR MOUNT

The TA08R Aluminum Motor Mount features aluminum upper deck mounts which allow for the attachment of an upper deck by 3x6mm countersunk hex head screws. With this option part you can easily take an existing TA-08PRO chassis and update its performance for more tuning options.

22082 RC TA08R CARBON UPPER DECK

The TA08R Carbon Upper Deck provides improved traction when accelerating. A 630-ball bearing located at the rear also ensures roll stability by keeping the deck flex characteristics consistent from left to right.

These rear body mounts for use on the TA08 use 2.5mm carbon fiber bases and aluminum body mount posts. They limit body wobble and ensure stable rear traction.
