With pressure building into our penultimate round of the series, the door to the stock and frontie championships is wide open where the Rug Racers 24/25 title in both classes will go down to the final round! However round 4 proved a chance for valuable points to be scored to edge closer to the top spots in our championships, while Elliott Harper would attempt to keep his so far perfect record going into this round!
Stock saw a familiar battle for TQ break out with 3 title
contenders; Finley Whitelock, Billy Fletcher and Ricky Copsey secure our top
spots in qualifying after an intense four rounds of FTQ qualifying where Finley
would take the favoured starting position by just 2 tenths over Billy! In A1
Billy was able to capitalise on some bad luck for Finley where he was caught by
a back marker, however Finley was able to chase until the end, but Billys
strong defence was able to keep Finley at bay to secure the leg win. A2 saw a
very different scenario play out where an early mistake from Billy allowed
Finley to break from the field, however a late mistake from him would allow
Ricky Copsey to slip through to secure the win, tailed by Finley. This would
mean that Finley would take the overall win for the day, followed by Billy and
Ricky, where all 3 of them were able to secure valuable points in the
championship towards the final clash where the champion will be crowned at
round 5!

Front wheel drive was as ever super close and getting towards the business end of the season 6 drivers were still in with a shout of winning the championship Adam Southgate Struck 1st with the only 26lap run in Q1 to set the benchmark, Q4 & Andy Murray just missed the TQ by 3ths putting him amongst the title contenders of Adam Southgate, Ricky Copsey, Sam Jones, Ethan Southall & Liam Tyrell. A1 a race long battle ensued at the front with Andy Murray finding a way through to hang on for the win, A2 saw another brilliant race with the top 5 nose to tail for the run, Adam Southgate defending superbly from Andy Murray before an overtake and a swift retake had the crowd cheering. Super close and clean racing saw Adam check out the Leg 2 win. Sam Jones would bring the car home in 3rd place ahead of Ethan Southall & Thomas Looney, taking Ricky & Liam out of the championship fight. The Championship now set to go to the Leg 2 final in the last round.

Modified and Elliott Harper was looking to keep his clean sweep for the series going, Alex Thurston & Harley Eldridge would keep him honest all day as Elliott locked up the TQ spot for the 2 leg finals, Leg 1 started with strong pace from the front 4 cars breaking away before a rare mistake saw Elliott fall down the field and promote Alex to the point, Elliott set back through the field and managed to make it back to Alex but wasn't able to pass and Leg 1 went to Alex Thurston ahead of Andy Murray in 3rd. Leg 2 and no mistake and a storming race time Elliott went lights to flag untroubled, Alex & Harley putting on a great battle for the 2nd spot that Alex held onto by a few 10ths at the line to round out the podium.
