IRIS In Focus: IRIS racer support and advice
https://www.thercracer.com/2026/06/iris-in-focus-iris-racer-support-and.html
For the June article I will focus on the support which Andreas and the team make freely available to IRIS racers.
There are two IRIS Facebook pages and I will explain the use and differences between the two. “IRIS Racing” is the official manufacturer page and has posts for new releases, team driver announcements and an April Fools post which blew up the internet!
The “IRIS ONE” page has a broader focus and will have racing updates from the team managers and team. That can be me announcing which IRIS racers will be attending significant UK race meetings, or updates from the IRIS team at ETS rounds.
Any IRIS racer can get an invite to the Discord channel: contact any of the team or I and we will be delighted to help you.
The Team Hub has sections and sub-sections to bring some structure, and these include sections to Ask Andreas, Ask the IRIS Austria Team, and to Ask Billy and I in the UK. I have also recently added a “Tips from the IRIS Team” sub-section which is filling up nicely with useful tips from across our IRIS team.
The initial focus will be on IRIS spares and upgrades, and we will expand our range into the excellent RUDDOG product range over times. There is a question form and chat function on the shop website for any questions on stock or parts, and we are ready and willing to help IRIS racers get the most from their cars.
Free delivery will be available to any event which I am attending, which will include the Essex Winter Series and of course my local race club EARCC.

IRIS Team Hub on Discord
Whilst we have answered questions from IRIS racers on these Facebook pages, the primary support and technical resource base is on our Discord IRIS Team Hub. This is free to subscribe to, and Discord is a free application which can be installed on Apple or Android phones for trackside questions and support.Any IRIS racer can get an invite to the Discord channel: contact any of the team or I and we will be delighted to help you.

I have also recently added a “Tips from the IRIS Team” sub-section which is filling up nicely with useful tips from across our IRIS team.
The IRIS Team Hub also has race event sections for the major race meetings that the team attend. This is where I will post the most ETS updates and photos, as it is easier to do there than write a Facebook update to the IRIS ONE group.
Most useful to IRIS racers are the sections for technical advice and information on IRIS Touring and FWD chassis, set ups and bodyshell mounting. These are the busiest sections with questions from racers answered by Andreas, the team and I. As I have said to many racers over the years “there is no such thing as a stupid question!”.
The setups section is especially useful, as I use it as the place to access any set up whilst at race meetings. A shout out to Petit RC who also hosts our set up and technical information on his excellent site: https://site.petitrc.com/reglages/SetupSheetDB/index.html#Iris
Another recent addition has been FWD bodyshell mounting guides for the most popular and newest bodyshells. These are being expanded to the Zoo Apex and Blitz Mk10 now that they have been added to the ETS FWD bodyshell list.

Tiger Racing RC
In other exciting news, my wonderful wife Fran and I are delighted to announce that we have opened Tiger Racing RC as our online shop for IRIS kits, parts and accessories: https://tigerracingrc.co.uk/The initial focus will be on IRIS spares and upgrades, and we will expand our range into the excellent RUDDOG product range over times. What I haven’t mention is the trackside support which we provide as a team, which is especially strong at the meetings which our Team Managers and team drivers attend. What makes us proud is when others complement us on how positively we go about racing and that we clearly enjoy ourselves at race meetings.
Hopefully you will agree this is a very strong suite of support available to IRIS racers from those just starting out to regular national and international A-finalists.
