Today I was looking forward to a little bit of buggy racing but as is the case with living in the north. It rained... As much as I enjoy this sport, driving a few hundred pounds worth of expensive toy in the rain does not seem like a good idea.
When I was a lad, with my mechanical speed controller, and std handset I never battered an eyelid with racing whilst it was chucking down. In fact I would usually enjoy more as tracks become very slippery and drifty.
So today I have decided to ensure I get a wet weather buggy. Something that I wont care if its racing in all elements, something that I have to resist spending money on unnecessary shiny blue parts... (well obviously its OK to have them if you are replacing something that has broken.. ahem! ;)
So to to ensure I can keep enjoying racing.. let the new project begin..
The question is what chassis should I get? Its got to be cheap so I am not too attached to it, 4WD as it needs to run in the wet and its got to have parts easily available and be reliable.
