So I took the car for a spin at my local club.
The best drivers with brushless touring cars got 38-42 laps (it's a small tight circuit so a prang can almost lose you a lap.
I did one race with the old 540 and the 1800 nicads with Tamiya connectors and got 28 laps.
Now thats not bad.. There are some obvious ways to boost the speed such as bearings and a hotter motor, although the drive train is inefficient and the chassis will hit it's limits at some point.
Now the question is.. Do I give myself an extra £10 budget to see where to go with it.. Or take the whole car in another direction and make a fun basher.. Hmmm
