ROAR, the US governing body for RC racing has announced that the Trinity D3.5 17.5T motor has been banned as random sample testing has shown that the windings are made from wire larger than that permitted.

The announcement from ROAR can be found here.  Who knows what this means for racers around the world, I wonder myself if the BRCA will follow suit and the motor will be banned in the UK as well.

Locally the D3.5 17.5T has a very good reputation as probably the best motor you can use in the 17.5T blinky class, perhaps the thicker, illegal, windings are the reason for this.
