Here is the first photo of the new Tamiya TC-01 Chassis platform. This revolutionary new design looks like it could be a very disruptive car in onroad racing.
Tamiya Info
This low slung chassis has been developed with an almost perfect weight distribution with the mid motor design. It can run formula shells or standard 257mm shells by just swapping the body mount parts in the box.
A hybrid combination of monocoque and upper frame offers superior rigidity and can be adjusted based on the track characteristics.
Front and rear inboard suspension utilises identical left and right arms and uprights for optimal leverage ratio. Oil dampers are actuated by pushrods and rocker arms.
The 4WD drive train spins the TB05 oil filled differentials, and it has fully adjustable camber, cast and toe angles by just adding or removing spacers. The battery compartment is also able to fit square lipos. There will be a lot of hop-ups available that can make it a competition chassis at all levels.
I cannot wait to get my hands on this and take it to the track and see how it competes against the more orthodox chassis.

The cantilevered suspension is on show here.
