Based on the learnings on the conversion kits for the Xray T4 and Yokomo BD9 Zerotribe has been working on updating it for Tamiya's flagship touring car.
Interestingly there are now two options. A mid motor (pulley), conversion which is common to a lot of the touring cars out there. Importantly there is new MR conversion (Mid Rear). This positions the motor further back, providing the optimal layout of a longer front belt and shorter rear belt. Interestingly this is very similar to the concept of the newly announced Tamiya TA08 chassis.
Both conversions share the same motor mount with the pulley ahead of the motor, so it could be possible to convert from one to the other with just new chassis decks and belts.
It would be great to see how the two kits compare, and I hope to get a closer look at the kit at some point.
