Xray T3 2012 Build Thread - Step One

Continuing from step 0

Step One: Building the Diff and front spool. 

This is simple operation, everything goes together nicely.  

All the diff gear are located on plastic webbing to be cut out, all came away very easily and with minimal flashings left on.

Build both halves of the diff, the half housing the gears was a challenge to get the pins as I didn’t have tweeters but got there in the end.  

Gear diff ready for oil. This was interesting, manual advises using scale which is a fantastic idea but I was using the world’s most sensitive set of scale that has a time delay. Get to the 9.20g mark then 2 seconds later it shot up to 9.30 or down the 9.15 then back up to 9.30. Anyway we got there eventually.

Front spool is amazingly simple bearings on, outdrive in and screw it together. Jobs a good un'
